Workers’ Compensation, Homeowners’ Insurance, Personal Injury & More

At Celeste Law Firm, we focus on helping the injured, disabled, and homeowners in Florida recover all of the benefits and compensation due and available. Below is a brief overview of the firm’s main practice areas. Click on a topic link for more information in a particular area. For immediate assistance, call 561-478-2447, or contact our attorneys online to schedule a free consultation.

Workers’ Compensation – Workers who are injured on the job are entitled to Florida workers’ compensation benefits, which include wage replacement benefits as well as full coverage of their medical expenses. Employers and their insurance carriers may try to deny a claim by alleging the injury is not work-related, is exaggerated, comes from a preexisting condition, or that the worker failed to follow the proper procedures for submitting a claim. Michael Celeste is a Board-Certified specialist in Florida workers’ compensation law since 1998. Michael will walk you through the workers’ compensation process, answer your questions, and fight to see that you receive the benefits you deserve.

Work Comp Retaliation – Florida law protects workers from being fired in retaliation for filing a workers’ compensation claim or asking about workers’ compensation benefits. If you believe you were fired for exercising your legally-protected workers’ compensation rights, we will fight to hold your employer and its insurance carrier accountable for their wrongdoing, including recovering your lost wages and other related damages.

Social Security Disability – A portion of every dollar a worker earns is deposited into the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program to provide benefits for you if you can no longer work due to disability. If you are found disabled, you will receive past a future monetary benefits and become eligible for Medicare regardless of your age. This is not an easy process, in spite of what you may have heard. The Social Security Administration turns down more than two-thirds of all the applications it receives! Don’t try to navigate this difficult process alone. Our attorneys and paralegals will assist you through the appeals process and answer all of your questions. If your claim is denied, our firm will aggressively prosecute your claim through every level of administrative and judicial review to ensure that you get the benefits that you deserve.

Supplemental Security Income – Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is similar to SSDI in that it provides benefits if you can no longer work due to disability; however, these benefits are less generous than those found disabled under SSDI and you are only entitled to Medicaid, rather than Medicare. The procedural difference in entitlement to SSI verses SSDI is that there is no work requirement to receive SSI; you are entitled to SSI if you make less than the threshold amount and cannot work. Like SSDI, obtaining benefits under SSI is not an easy process. Don’t try to navigate this difficult process alone. Our attorneys and paralegals will assist you through the appeals process and answer all of your questions. If your claim is denied, our firm will aggressively prosecute your claim through every level of administrative and judicial review to ensure that you get the benefits that you deserve.

Personal Injury – When you are injured as a result of another’s negligence, the law allows you to recover compensation for your medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and other legal damages. As the injured plaintiff, you must prove every aspect of your case in order to receive monetary compensation. This is no easy feat. You can bet your bottom dollar that the insurance company will fight you at every turn, claiming that you were not really seriously injured, or that your own negligence caused or contributed to the accident. Our experienced and tenacious legal team will fight to the insurance companies for a full and fair settlement and, if need be, take your case all the way to court to vindicate your rights. At Celeste Law Firm, we handle auto accidents, slip and fall accidents, defective product injuries, workplace accidents, and wrongful death.

Duty Disability and Pension – Celeste Law Firm helps union workers, municipal and state employees, and others who are permanently injured on the job secure in-line disability benefits from the Florida Retirement System. We can help you understand your options and walk you through the process of obtaining in-line-of-duty disability, regular disability, and Investment Plan or Pension Plan retirement benefits.
